Manganese in Your Water: Ozone Has the Solution

While manganese is an essential micronutrient, overexposure can result in manganese toxicity. This is happening more and more in water bodies across the country because of human and industrial activities.

When present in water in excess quantities, it produces a brownish color. Yet, many people do nothing about it because they think the brownish color is caused by high iron levels. For your information, manganese overexposure in humans is dangerous.

Called manganism, this can result in Parkinson-like symptoms including anorexia, weakness, slow speech, clumsy and slow limb movements, tremor, mental problems, muscle pain, and a mask-like face.
